Major Duties include but are not limited to:
Receive, schedule, refer and contact members of the staff, VHA and persons outside VHA ranging from other government agencies to the general public. Serve as Record Liaison for Pharmacy Service. Coordinate incoming data from a variety of sources. Monitor and track pending action items resulting from staff meetings. Prepare information requested for various oversight inspections. Obtain and monitor the use of services, supplies or equipment for the office. Work Schedule:

Program Support Assistant (OA)/PD803400 Physical Requirements:
The work is primary sedentary, although some slight/moderate physical effort may be required. The position also requires walking, some standing, bending and carrying of relatively lightweight items such as mail, reams of paper, etc. Work is typically performed in an adequately lighted and climate-controlled office. In addition to meeting experience requirements, applicants for these positions (Office Automation - any grade) must demonstrate a typing speed of at least 40 words per minute. At this time applicants are being asked to self-certify. Please Note:

One year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the federal service); experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) and other characteristics to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience includes:
provide general public support services such as answering telephones, referring visitors, screens calls; process incoming and outgoing correspondences, reports, memorandums; compose and edit letters and reports, reviews correspondence for accuracy and completeness; perform basic analysis of data and generate reports; use software applications as electronic mail, Word, Excel (spreadsheets and graphs), desktop publishing, and calendar. There is no educational substitution for the GS-06 level. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
