A. Degree:
Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position. Alternate methods of meeting the basic educational requirement are listed in the questionnaire. Basic Requirement for Supervisory General Engineer GS-0801:
A. Degree:
Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in engineering. To be acceptable, the program must:
(1) lead to a bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET); OR (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics:
(a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics. Alternate methods of meeting the basic educational requirement are listed in the questionnaire. Basic Requirement for Supervisory Architect GS-0808:
A. Degree:
Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in architecture or in a related field that included 60 semester hours of course work in architecture or related disciplines of which at least (1) 30 semester hours were in architectural design, and (2) 6 semester hours were in each of the following:
structural technology, properties of materials and methods of construction, and environmental control systems. Alternate methods of meeting the basic educational requirement are listed in the questionnaire. Basic Requirement for Supervisory Physical Science GS-1301:
A. Degree:
Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in physical science, engineering, or mathematics that included 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science such as mechanics, dynamics, properties of materials, and electronics. Alternate methods of meeting the basic educational requirement are listed in the questionnaire. Basic Requirement for Supervisory Land Surveying GS-1373:
A. Degree:
Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in land surveying; or civil engineering with a surveying option/emphasis. The civil engineering major must have included at least 6 semester hours of surveying, 3 semester hours of land law, and 21 additional semester hours in any combination of the following:
surveying, photogrammetry, geodetic surveying, geodesy, route surveying, remote sensing, cartography, survey astronomy, land information systems, computer-aided mapping, aerial photo interpretation, and survey analysis and adjustments. Alternate methods of meeting the basic educational requirement are listed in the questionnaire. In addition to meeting the one of the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
GS-13 Specialized
Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes experience (1) developing technical specifications, (2) extensive coordination and integration of multiple disciples to accomplish mission, AND (3) leadership role in hydro-focused civil works projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
