(1) One year of specialized experience equivalent to a GS-07 grade level. Specialized experience is defined as:
Served as an advanced trainee, collecting field data on fish habitats and other aquatic resources for preparation of maps and management plans using all types of sampling equipment; classifying habitats and determining stream conditions for fisheries; and, conducting aquatic habitat/fish inventories. -OR Successful completion of 2 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree or masters or equivalent graduate degree, courses are to be related to the position to be filled. -OR A combination of education and experience listed above. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
