One year of specialized experience which includes experience performing basic engineering computations and experience using CADD to produce or update engineering drawings as directed by others. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04). OR Education:
Four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree (a) with major study in an appropriate field of engineering, construction, or industrial technology; OR (b) that included at least 24 semester hours in any combination of courses such as engineering, engineering or industrial technology, construction, physics, drafting, surveying, physical science, or mathematics. OR Combination of Education and
Experience:
A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. Specialized Experience GS-6:
One year of specialized experience which includes experience performing basic engineering computations; data collection, presentation, and analysis; and experience using CADD to produce or update engineering drawings with limited direction or supervision. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). Specialized Experience GS-7:
One year of specialized experience which includes experience performing basic engineering computations; data collection, presentation, and analysis; and experience using CADD and other graphics programs, demonstrating a moderate level of independent knowledge and initiative to complete these tasks. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Specialized Experience GS-8:
One year of specialized experience which includes experience performing basic engineering computations; data collection, presentation, and analysis; and experience using CADD and other drawing or graphics programs to create or modify engineering drawings in both 2 and 3 dimensions and create or modify graphics for presentation purposes, demonstrating a significant level of independent knowledge and initiative to complete these tasks. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). Specialized Experience GS-9:
One year of specialized experience which includes experience performing basic engineering computations; data collection, presentation, and analysis; and broad experience using CADD and other drawing or graphics programs to create or modify engineering drawings in both 2 and 3 dimensions and create or modify graphics for presentation purposes, demonstrating a significant level of independent knowledge and initiative to complete these tasks. This experience also includes using GIS and remote sensing (e.g. LiDAR) data, processes, and techniques. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For the GS-6, 7, 8, 9, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
